Daiquiris really make me happy, and a banana mango daiquiri with a hint of salted caramel is just delicious.

This daiquiri recipe is made without mixers just using fresh fruit, rum, ice, and salted caramel syrup.

In some respects, it has the consistency of a banana smoothie too as it’s best served nice and thick.

It really hits the spot on a hot day, particularly in late summer.

The reason I like a banana mango daiquiri in late summer is because it has such rich fruity flavors, but when you add a dash of salted caramel, it gives you just a hint of fall.

And that makes me happy.

You see, here in Southern California, fall doesn’t truly begin until after Halloween, so we have to fake it ’till we make it.

So it may be 100 degrees outside, but in my mind, I’m enjoying that delicious fall caramel flavor while staying cool.

What you need to make a Salted Caramel Banana Mango Daiquiri

Salted Salted Caramel Banana Mango Daiquiri ingredients

I mentioned earlier that this drink doesn’t use a mixer unlike a lot of daiquiri recipes.

Besides, who needs frozen banana daiquiri mix when you can make one of these so easily?

And depending on your location and time of year, you can substitute frozen fruit for fresh if you need to.

Since it’s a frozen drink, that works really well here.

Ingredients you need:

  • 1/2 over ripe banana OR 1 whole baby banana
  • 1/2 cup mango chunks, frozen is best
  • 1 oz white rum
  • 1 oz salted caramel syrup – I found this one at Home Goods, but the one from Torani is delicious too!
  • A splash of vanilla Simple Syrup – I like the one from Sonoma Syrups if I don’t have any homemade vanilla syrup handy
  • ice

You will need this equipment to make the drink:

Note: if you are using frozen mango chunks, it will make your drink colder and thicker.

Make it a mocktail:

It is really easy to make a salted caramel banana mocktail.

The great thing about this recipe is that if you leave our the rum, the drink becomes a yummy caramel banana smoothie.

And it is so good.

So you can have an adult one for yourself, and make a mocktail version for the kids or your non-drinking friends.

If you want to preserve some of the rum flavor, you may always add a drop or two of rum extract before you blend the drink.

A great low-calorie frozen daiquiri!

When you’re looking to sip on something tasty that’s also fruity and a bit like a dessert drink, it can be a challenge to find one that’s under 200 calories.
