Combine the best of both sweet and spicy flavors with a yummy Chili Mango Margarita!

One of the things I love about Mexican cuisine is the juxtaposition of tastes like the crisp salt on a fresh tortilla chip with some sweet salsa.

Savory and sweet.

And a sweet and spicy margarita epitomizes that ideal to me.

Our chili mango margarita is just perfect for this kind of taste explosion.

So when you’re looking to serve a delicious frozen margarita, consider whipping up one of these delicious drinks.

The combination of the juicy mango flavor with the kick from the chili spiced rim delights the taste buds.

It’s perfect to serve before your meal, or even as a dessert drink.

We like to serve our mango margarita for Taco Tuesday when we’re enjoying some yummy fish tacos.

The sweetness from the mango with the spice is a nice complement with fish tacos.

It’s also a hit to serve this at our Cinco de Mayo backyard barbecue.

It’s easy to make a pitcher of these drinks at once to serve a crowd.

  • 2 1/2 cups frozen mango
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup mango juice
  • 2 teaspoons chili seasoning or Tajin for the rim
  • mango chunks, for garnish

You will need this equipment:

  • Blender
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Measuring Cups
  • Margarita Glasses or Rocks Glasses
  • Optional: Plate for salting the glass with salt or Tajin

Make it a Mocktail instead

If you want to enjoy a non-alcoholic version of our chili mango margarita, simply omit the triple sec and tequila.

This recipe makes a great mango slush with a spicy kick.

How to make Chili Mango Margaritas

In a blender, place frozen mango, triple sec, tequila, and mango juice.

Blend mixture until all the frozen mango is smooth.

If you need more liquid and it’s too thick add very little mango juice at a time.

Wet the rim of the glass and place in chili seasoning.

Pour into the glass. Serve topped with mango chunks.

Pro Tip: If you really love spicy, add a dash of the chili powder to the drink itself as well.

It will kick the drink’s heat up a notch.
